Structural aluminum products, such as window sashes, are conventionally produced mainly by pressing, with each individual product requiring a substantial investment in the respective dies.The Sash-IN aluminum cutting machine, a numerical controlled (NC) machine-tool for cutting aluminum with the feel of a pressing machine, represents a significant advance on conventional machining processes.Sash-IN reduces the cost of investment in dies, and makes it possible to automate and increase the efficiency of the milling process, which is traditionally laborious and inefficient.Sash-IN renovates the conventional production line and increases productivity, with a variety of features which are not available in conventional NC machines.
High-speed machining with an ultra-high speed spindle
Conventional understanding of the aluminum cutting process has been revised through the addition of the Sash-IN's ultra-high speed NC controller, with a servo loop response frequency of 2.25kHz(440μs), to drive the ultra-high speed spindle at an optimal feed rate, which has a maximum spin speed of 40,000 rpm and a maximum rotational power of 370 W.
One-action chucking of a workpiece with a complex cross-sectional shape, using a unique clamping device
Small to large workpieces, with diameters of up to 190mm, can be clamped.Two types of base pads and three types of pressure pads enable different workpiece types, including hollow and solid workpieces, to be clamped with the touch of a button. Use of the pad in combination with the flexible rear clamping provides a sufficient and stable clamping force also for machining in the intermediate sash area.
